Great team work, cooperation, listening, sharing and turn-taking in our active maths session today.
P1-3 were thrilled to see that the seeds we planted last term had grown into lettuce, carrots, chard, chives and parsnips. And our planters filled with flowers still look beautiful outside the school. We were also very pleased to see the recent work that has been undertaken at our Butterfly and Bumblebee Sanctuary.
As it was such a rainy day and we missed our outside playtime, we decided to practise our drama and movement skills in the Library. Great energy, ideas and sharing space safely everyone.
Fabulous stories written about P1-3 holidays. These have been put on display outside our classroom so each child received a Star Writer certificate for their efforts.
Lovely transient art in our playground today.
P1 were demonstrating their mastery of scissors this morning. ✂️
Football, skipping and throwing and catching skills were practised in our gorgeous playground today.
Happy pupils visited the Library Van today. Scott the Librarian and I were impressed to see how absorbed the pupils were in their choice of book. P1 pupils were given a form today so once returned they can take a book out next time. Reminder to all parents that if pupils bring their library card in in their plastic homework folder it makes the borrowing process much faster. Thank you.
Well done to Annie for her winning entries in the recent Grantown Show. She came home with rosettes and a trophy for the best exhibit in the Children’s Baking Class. We’ve been told her Rocky Road was scrumptious.
What a tasty treat on a Friday morning – our yummy homegrown potatoes that we planted in May. Our teddies, elephants, badgers and other cuddly toys were very impressed too.
